Artist's Comments

Mukul is the God of the Soul, and within his coat - he writes your story..

.................................................................................................................

I did this drawing on 19x24 Bristol paper with Micron pens, a regular ballpoint pen, and a bit of charcoal. No references. It took me quite a while. Probably a total of around 10 hours, but I'm unsure. Most likely more. :D

This is my favorite drawing I've ever done to date. It holds a lot of hidden meaning, but I want it to be interpreted openly by all who view it.

That is absolutely stunning! All of the detail throughout that drawing is just incredible. I'm not normally much of a fan of art (especially since I'm not an artist myself) but this is just awesome. Well done!

Thank you so, so much! That means an enormous deal to me.

You're very welcome. It is truly professional, I mean it. I only wish I could do stuff like that. All I can do is take pictures of animals. ;p

That's beautiful. It really leaps out of the page even as a thumbnail.

Obviously I'm glad it really didn't leap out.

It's such a three dimensional image. It's a profile view, but has amazing depth to it.

You really feel like reaching in and stroke that coat. If gods allow stroking. Kind of reminds me of the art in Sandman, and of Amano too.

of boarding the boats sailing from trivia,
And always there will be the regret,
the sense of carnivals finished.

Why thank you, Carenza! I'm happy it looks 3-dimensional.. it means I'm getting better. :D

I looked at the art you mentioned... it really is beautiful! Quite a compliment.. and on the matter of stroking: He certainly wouldn't mind that. He is a gentle thing really.

Taylor, this is stunning. When I first saw the working stages of this I knew it was going to be one of your best yet. How you have incorperated the symbolic imagery within the coat is just amazing. Your talent never ceases to amaze me, you are neverending, boundless and this is just further proof of that. Amazing piece my love

I think this is one of my favorites yet too of yours! Especially the infinity (?) symbol on his cheek and the circle that somewhat reminds me of the wheel of the year.

Simply amazing... I can only imagine how much your drawing hand hurt after working on this.

Why thank you, Jordy!! :glomp:

Actually.. it may come as a surprise, but my hand never cramps while drawing. My left hand is like iron. :D

Thank you for commenting and faving! It really means a lot. :rose:
